Common AC problems we fix
The calls we see most in Happy Valley: the AC blows warm air, the outdoor unit won't start, ice forms on the coil or lines, water leaks inside, or the system trips the breaker. Some of these are quick fixes; others, like low refrigerant, are professional-only by law.
What you can check first
Before requesting service, replace your filter, make sure the thermostat is set to COOL with the fan on AUTO, and clear leaves and debris from the outdoor unit. These three steps resolve a real share of "weak cooling" complaints. Our troubleshooting guide walks through each.
About refrigerant
If your system is low on refrigerant, it has a leak — and topping it off without fixing the leak only buys a few weeks. Refrigerant handling also requires EPA certification, so it's not a DIY job. We find the leak, repair it, and recharge to spec.
AC installation and replacement
If your AC is more than a decade old or uses phased-out R-22 refrigerant, replacement is often the smarter spend. We'll give you written options, including whether a heat pump — which both heats and cools — makes more sense for your home.
